The Order of the Day being read, for the Attendance of the Lord Conyngham in his Place -, The Petition of the Reverend James Robinfon, Doftor in Divinity, the Minifter, Church Wardens, and the Veftry Men, of the Parilh of Saint John's in Dublin, which was prefented to the I loufe, upon the 15th Day of May laft, was read ; Setting forth, That Major General Henry Conyngham, being indebted to Jane Bonnell, late of the Parilh of Writ tic, in the County of Eflex, in the Kingdom of Great Britain, Widow, his Sifter, in the Sum of fl. 1,500, in purfuance of a Deed executed by him, in 1696, to Truftees, for raifing any Sum not exceeding fl. 3,500, as therein mentioned, did, for fecuring the faid Sum, by Deed, or Inftrument, dated on or about the 23d Ofiober 1704, direCt and appoint the Truftees in faid Deed mentioned, to fecure to the faid Jane Bonnell, the faid Sum of fl. 1,500, when Ilie Ihould require the fame �, and that, purfuant to faid laft-mentioned Deed, the Truftees in faid firft Deed mentioned, did, for the better fecuring faid Sum of fl. 1,500, to the laid Jane Bonnell, by Deed, dated the 8th July 1710, by way of Mortgage, grant to the faid Jane Bonnell, the Manor or Lordlhip of Mount Charles, and feveral other Lands in the County of Dcnnegal, fubjeft to the Provifo or Equity of Redemption in faid Deed mentioned; and that there being a great Arrear of Intereft due on the Loot of the faid Mortgage, the faid Jane Bonnell filed her Bill in his Majefty�s Court of Exchequer in Tre- Zand, on or about the 5th of January 1739, againft Henry Conyngham, now Lord Vifcount Conyngham, being intilled to the Equity of Redemption of faid mortgaged Premifes, to foreclofe faid Mortgage, and to have lb much of the Lands therein fold, for the Payment of what Ihould appear due to her for Principal, Intereft, and Coils; and that, on the 20th of June 1744, Ihe obtained a Decree againft the faid Henry Conyngham Efquire, now Lord Vifcount Conyngham, for an Account to be taken of what was due on the Foot of faid Mortgage-, and that, before any further Proceedings could be had on faid Decree, the faid Jane Bonnell died, but before her Death made her Will, and among other Things bequeathed feveral Legacies, which were to be paid out of the Money anting by laid mortgaged Premifes, and particularly a Legacy of fl. 200 to the Minifter, Church Wardens, and Veftrymen of the laid Parilh of Saint John's* in Truft, for the binding out poor Girls of that Parilh forever, Apprentices ; and the Refidue of her Fortune, after Payment of her Debts and Legacies, (lie bequeathed to her Executors, for the Support of Clergymens Widows, who (hall ftand in need of fuch Help; and that the faid Jane Bonnell, by her faid Will, appointed Ralph Smith of London Efquire, and Ralph Sampfon of the City of Dublin, Merchant, her Executors ; and that foon after the Death of the faid Jane Bonnell, the faid Lord Vifcount Conyngham con- tefted her Sanity, and in October 1745 commenced a Suit in his Majefty�s Court of Prerogative in this Kingdom, where Sentence paffed in favour of faid Will; and, in November 1740, his Lordlhip appealed from the faid Sentence or Judgment of faid Court to the Delegates, who, about 26th May 1747, judged it ill appealed, and affirmed the Judgment of the faid Court of Prerogative, whereupon a Prob.it of faid Will was granted to faid Executors ; and that faid Executors, for what Reafon, unlcfs on Account of the great Expence they were put to in obtaining faid Probat, as aforefaid, they negleded carrying faid Decree fo obtained by their faid Teftatrix as aforefaid into Execution, and both faid Executors are now dead; and that faid VOL. XXX. can have no doubt, that this Alliance with fo refpeftable a Proteftant Prince will be to the Satisfaction of all His good Subjects, He promiles himfelf the Concurrence and Affiftance of this Houfe, in enabling Him to give fuch a Portion with His Sifter, as may be fuit- able to the Honour and Dignity of His Crown. His Majeftyhad Intentions to have recommended, at the fame Time, to the Confideration of this Houfe, the making of fome proper Provifion for the honourable Support and Maintenance of His dearly beloved Brothers, the Dukes of Fork and Giouafter, and Prince Henry Frederick 3 but, as the Seafon of the Year is greatly advanced, and it is neceffary to grant a Recefs to His Parliament, by a fpeedy Conclufion of the Seffion, His Majefty will defer the making of fuch Recommendation, until the next Meeting for the Difpatch of Bufi- nefs i and is affured, from His Experience of the Af- feCtion of His Faithful Commons to Himfelf and His Family, that they will readily and chearfully enter into die Confideration of that Matter, when the fame (hall be laid before them.
