The Humble Memorial of the Keys of Man the Representatives of the I[obscured]

Most Humbly Shewing,

That for many ages and Centuries past the Keys of Man have always [obscured]
the agrievances of the people of the said Isle and composed the third Estate of [obscured]
the Enacting of Laws for the Redress of the same.

That since the Dominion of this Isle Became vested in His Majesty in the y[obscured]

Government were in many particulars altered and Changed.

That several Temporary Laws made for the good Government and inter[obscured]
this Isle such as the Law for making and repairing the Public High ways [obscured]
Stone wall Boundary fences, the Law for Draining of Loughs and Stagnations [obscured]
many others of such like Public utility have of late and are near expired and [obscured]
of them alated to the utmost Prejudice of the Inhabitants of this Isle and daily [obscured]
and numberless detriments do arise through the expiration of such and the [obscured]
which cannot be revised or carried into Execution without his Majesty's Roy[obscured]

That ever since the earliest ages and Formation of Government wi[obscured]
there were two common Law Judges or Magistrates called Deemsters within [obscured]
one appointed for the North Division and the other for the South Division, [obscured]
administration of Justice within their respective Districts which Plan of [obscured]
both as to the number and Divisions beforementioned was and is indispe[obscured]
as well from the Extent of this Isle its numerous Inhabitants which are c[obscured]
augmenting as from its Situation having a Chain of many and high m[obscured]
transversing the Same from the one End to the other which made it necess[obscured]
different District to each Deemster and they are distinguished by our most an[obscured]
by the distinction of the North and South Division.

That since the Decease of the late Deemster Mylrea there hath been no[obscured]
appointed by his Majesty to succeed him in the office— That from the Reason[obscured]
and daily Experience since that time it is certain that no Person is or can be [obscured]
the Duty of officiating in that Character throughout the Whole Island [obscured]
that Thomas Moore Esquire the only and present Deemster hath by Indefat[obscured]
Labor Trouble and Perseverance attempted to execute that office in Genera[obscured]
