At Castletown the 20^th Sep^r 1764.

We the Keys of Man now assembled having in obedience to the
Honship^s Dep. Governors Order of Reference proceeded to hear a certain
Cause or Action wherein Richard Kneal Pl^t & John Martin & Joney his
Wife Defendants for a parcel of Quarterland in Kneal beg in the
Parish of K^k Andreas of Six pence Lord Rent which the Pl^t alledges
the Defendants unjustly with hold & detain from him. And having perused
the Sheading & Traverse Jurys Verdicts passed upon this Action and
heard the parties thereon Do upon mature & Deliberate Consideration
had, of all that was offered on both Sides Say and are of Opinion
that the Sheading & Traverse Jurys proceeded Legal in leaving the right
of the Premifes actioned for in the Defend^ts And that the Pl^t recovers
nothing w^ch we give as our Judgement in the Premifes.

At a meeting of 24 Keys the 28^th Sep^t 1764.

Resolved that this Cause which has been in Hearing and a
Depended for some time past between the parties be further Suspended
and Deferred untill the long Jury Sworn on a certain Lycence which
each Parr look on as most Ambiguous as in the Plan in Dispute
make their Verdict or Return on said Lycence —
