The Commifsioners received Your Letter of
the 9^th Instant, signifying the Directions of the Lords
Commifsioners of his Majesty's Treasury, concerning
the Brigs Lady Catherine, Jacob Bogaart Master, -
which their Lordships have received Information,
delivered a Cargo of Tea in the Isle of Man, and -
proceeded from thence to Leverpoole in the Month
of February last, where she took on board a Cargo
of Sugar and other Goods for Rotterdam, without
being Molested or Seized, notwithstanding it was
well known she had delivered Teas at the -
said Island: The Board directed M^r Eddowes
Surveyor General of Hants and Dorset, and M^r
Halcomb Register General of Tobacco, who are
appointed to Survey the Port of Leverpoole to pay
a particular attention to the said Information,
and in Consequence of their Lordships Commands
to make a strict enquiry into the Facts; And at
the same time to give it in charge to the proper
Officers of the Port to seize the Vessel in case she
arrives there, and it can be proved that she having
