Your Petitioners, however, placing
their hopes in the interference of
your Honorable House, Humbly
Pray, that for the protection of your
Petitioners and of the other unrepre-
sented inhabitants of the island, a
commission may issue to examine
and enquire whether any abuses,
pointed out for correction by the
former commissioners, have been
removed, or, remaining, have been
aggravated: and that such other
means be adopted by your Honor-
able House, for redressing their
grievances above stated, and for
their protection from future mis-
government, as to your Honorable
House may seem meet. And your
Petitioners shall ever pray, &c.
