At a meeting of the Keys at Castletown
this 8^th Day of June 1768

We the Keys of Mannow assembled having in Obedience to his
Excellency the Governours order of Reference taken into Consideration
a certain Dispute and Difference depending between William Lace
and John Christian both of the Parish of K.K. Bride Relating
to a Road or driving way claimed by the said Lace on and thro the said
Christians Land. And we having perused the Great Inquest
and long Jurys Verdicts with all the proceedings had and taken in
his Cause with what was otherwise offered by the Partyes And
upon due and deliberate Consideration had of the whole Do Say
and are of Opinion that the said long Jury proceeded Illegal in
allowing the said William Lace a Road or way on all Occasions on
the said John Christians Land. Wherefore we Reverse the said long
Jurys Verdict and leave the said William Lace at Liberty to Sue for
Such the way as he shall appear to be Intitled unto or be otherwise
Advised agreeable to the Answer of the said Great Inquest. Which we
give as our Opinion and Judgment in this Cause.

wherein Henry Mitchell and Mible his wife are Pl^ts and
John Shimmin and Hugh Shimmin Guardians of the said John
Shimmin D^fts father the said D^fts withheld from the Pl^ts a parcel of
Land and called Kerrow (?ee of three pence Rent or thereabouts. And
we having perused the Sheading and Travers Jurys Verdicts with
what was otherwise offered pleaded and Argued by the Partys in this
Cause. Do find and Say that the Plaintiffs said Action at Law is
deficient and wanting in point of form. Wherefore we Reverse
the Sheading & Travers Jurys Verdicts passed and given in this Cause
with Liberty to the said Plaintiffs to Commence a New Suit or Action
for the Matter in Issue in such proper and Legal Manner as they shall
be Advised. Which we give as our Opinion and Judgment in this Cause.
