the Court of Exchequer and also of other Courts
(as I Conceive) Particularly the Proceedings
of the Staff of Government- and from the
Proceedings of this last mentioned Court
being Recorded in the Exchequer Book and
Sometimes Dated as of the Exchequer Court-
but more especially from the Circumstance
of the Same Officers holding the Same Seats
in both Courts, there does not appear to
have been a proper and Sufficient Distinction
kept up between those two Courts It is therefore
with Some diffidence that I Venture to give an
opinion on this Subject But I do humbly
Conceive that the Jurisdiction of the Court
of Exchequer embraces all matters of Revenue
or fiscal And the Cognizance of the Right of
Tithes- And that the Court of

The Staff of Government

Has Jurisdiction of all matters of appeal
from the inferior Courts and all matters of
Complaint against the Acts of inferior Courts
