or in the purchase of Copyhold Estates of Inheritance to be situate in England and that immediately
after such purchase sho^d be made the said James Spedding and Jos: Bushby sho^d convey and
assure the Heredit^s so to be purchased to the uses limited by the s^d Indre of 21^st May 1764 of &
concerning the said Estate so by the said Act vested in the said James Spedding and Joseph
Bushby other than and except such parts of the said Settlement as relate to a provision for
payment of the then subsisting Debts of the said Peter John Heywood And it was further
enacted that until such Purchase could be had the said Account^t General sho^d upon a Petition
to the said Court of Chancery place out the residue of such purchase Money after payment of such
Costs as therein ment^d in the purchase of Lefficient consol Bank Annuities and pay the
Dividends unto such person as would be intitled to the Rents of the Lands by the said Act
directed to be purchased in case the same were purchased and settled pursuant to the s^d
Act.

The said purchase Money has been accordingly paid into the Bank and laid out in
the purchase of £9343..18 Lefficient consol Bank Annuities the Dividends whereof
were regularly paid to the said Peter John Heywood

The said Peter John Heywood is lately dead leaving Issue James Heywood his
eldest Son and several other Children.

The said Peter John Heywood in his life time and the said James Heywood his
eldest Son executed to the Duke of Atholl a Bond & Grant of which the following is a Copy
" Know all Men by these presents That I Peter John Heywood of the Town
" of Douglass in the Isle of Mann Seneschal to his Grace ~~the~~ the most Noble John Duke
" of Atholl Earl Strange Lord of Mann and the Isles &c Do hereby own and acknowledge
" myself to be and stand justly indebted unto his said Grace John Duke of Atholl in the
" full Sum of two thousand pounds British Sterling. To the payment whereof well and
" truly to be made unto him the said John Duke of Atholl his Heirs Exec^rs Adm^ors
" or Assigns with the Interest thereon at the rate of five pounds for an hundred pounds by the
" Year at the end of two Years from the date hereof I the said Peter John Heywood do hereby
" bind and oblige my self and my Heirs Executors and Admors in and under the penalty
" herein after ment^d And for the further and better securing of the payment of the said Sum of
" two thousand pounds with the Interest afores^d and the Costs and Charges I the said Peter
" John Heywood and James Heywood my eldest Son and Heir Have hereby given and
