Esq^rs Waterbailiffs Collectors and Judges of the Court
of Admiralty of this Isle

The humble petition and appeal of Maurice Mc Auliffe
formerly of the Kingdom of Ireland but now of this Isle
a prisoner in Castle Rushen upon a Contempt of the spring season

That Thomas Murphey some time ago instituted a suit in
your said Court against your appell^t for the recovery
of a Certain sum of Money to be due and owing unto him
by your appell^t, upon which an Admiral Jury being struck
and sworn to try the said Issue so depending between
your appell^t and the said Thomas Murphey And upon
tryal had thereof the said Jury thought proper to Verdict
in favour of the said Murphey as by the said Jurys
Return thus remaining on the publick Records of this Isle

That your said appell^t for relief and Justice in the
premises traversed the said Jurys Verdict or Return to a Jury
of Twelve Men who being also sworn to try the said
Admiral Jurys Verdict they also by their return bearing
Date the 20^th of Oct^r Instant thought proper to Concurr
in opinion with the said Admiral Jury as by their said
Verdict bearing Date as aforesaid may also Appear

by your hon^rs Decree Confirm the Same Therefore
for Relief in all and singular the Premisses
