one John Cother, a Cooper in the Island, and several
others that usually ply in a Bum Boat, that they had
that Morning Sold to one Jasper Tendergrafs the
Master of a Sloop belonging to Leverpoole, Ninety
five pounds Weight of Tea, and Ten Anchors of
Brandy;.. And saith, that in the Morning of the
7 of September the Lurcher Cutter, Captain George
Mathews from Belfast, Arrived at Douglas Bay,
And saith, that he was informed by a Servant of
M^r Blacks a Merchant upon the Island, that the
Captain Supped that Evening at his Masters house,
and that there was carried on board the Cutter
several Parcels of Tea, China, and Barcelona
Handkerchiefs, which had been purchased by the
Captain; And by the said Servant he was Informed,
it was the Constant practice of the Masters of the Cutters
to Purchase Goods of the like Sort of the said M^r
Black, and that the said Captain went away about
