A Proclamation

By their Excellencies The most Noble
John Duke of Atholl and Charlotte Ducheſs of
Atholl Wife of the said John Duke of Atholl
Baroneſs Strange &c. Lady of the Isle of Man, and
Islands thereunto Belonging&c.

Whereas by the Death of our late Honoured Father the
most Noble James Duke of Atholl Baron Strange &c. late
Lord of the Said Isle of Man and Islands thereunto belonging
the Soignory Lordship and Dominion of the said Isle of Man
and Islands thereunto belonging is Devolved upon and Vested
in us in Right of the said Charlotte Ducheſs of Atholl
Baroneſs Strange &c. And it appertaineth unto Us to
Provide for the Immediate Administration of the Government
thereof We Do therefore hereby Signify Our Will and Pleasure
that all Officers Magistrates and other Persons whatsoever
who at the time of the Death of our said late Most Hon.^d
Father Held Exercised or Enjoyed any Office Civil or Military
within the said Isle and Islands thereunto belonging Shall and
do Continue to Hold Exercise and Enjoy the same Offices
respectively in like manner as the same were by them respectively
held and enjoyed at the time of our said late Fathers decease
untill our further Will and pleasure shall be signified therein
Witneſs Ourselves at London this Fourteenth day of Feb.^ry
in the Year of our Lord 1764.
