To the Right Honorable the Lords Commiſsioners of
His Majesty's Treasury,

The Representation and Memorial of the
Commiſsioners of His Majestys Customs
and Excise in Scotland.

Humbly Sheweth

That in obedience to your Lordships
Directions they have considered the Prejudices
that arise to the Revenues of Customs and Excise
in Scotland from the Interior, as well as Exterior
Commerce of the Isle of Man, and have now the
Honour of laying before your Lordships such Matters
as have occurred to them on the Subject, according
to the best Information they have been able to procure.

That the great Articles of Import to
that Island are Teas and other East India Goods
which are prohibited to be Imported into it by the
Act of the 7^th of Geo: 1^st Cap: 21^st Sec: 9^th And also Brandy
Rum, Geneva, Wines, and other foreign high priced
Commodities the Entry of which is prohibited
into Great Britain from the Isle of Man by the
12^th George 1^st Cap: 28. Sec: 22^de And for all which several
