by virtue of the said Disposition and Assignation from the
said *Charlotte* Duchess of *Atholl,* his Mother, acquired right
to the said Deed of Entail, and Lands therein contained, he
thereupon obtained a Charter of Resignation under the
Seal appointed by the Treaty of Union to be kept and used in
*Scotland,* in place of the Great Seal of *Scotland,* in favour
of himself and the other Heirs of Entail, under the whole
Conditions, Provisions, and Restrictions therein expressed,
reserved, and declared, and which Charter bears date the
7th Day of *August,* 1775, whereupon Infeftment followed
in favour of him the said *John,* now Duke of *Atholl;*
and the Instrument of Seasine bears date the 2d Day
of *October,* in the said Year 1775, and was recorded in the
General Register of Seasines and Reversions at *Edinburgh,* on
the 9th Day of the same Month of *October,* and Year last
mentioned; whereby the said *John,* now Duke of *Atholl,* has
established and made up in his Person a complete Feudal Title
to the said Entailed Estate.

*And whereas* the said *John* Duke of *Atholl* stands heritably
infeft and seased as of Fee Simple in the Lands and Estates of
*Wester Kinnaird,* or *Balmackniell,* the Lands of *Drumnacarff,*
the Lands of *Craignuisk,* and the Lands of *Balnamuir,* and
the Lands and Estates of *Balnaguard* and *Balnavert,* all lying
in the Parish of *Little Dunkeld;* and also in the Lands and
Estates of *Wester* and *Easter Logierait* and *Killichangie,* lying
within the Parish of *Logierait,* and in several other parcels of
Lands and Heritages, parts and pertinents of the said several
Lands and Estates, all adjoining to each other, and situate
and being within, or nearly approximating to the center of the
ancient and modern chief Estates of the said *John* Duke of
*Atholl,* and in the intermediate districts of Country between
his Castle, or Manor Places of *Blair,* and *Dunkeld,* the usual
and ordinary places of residence of his Family, specified in the
first Schedule annexed to this Act, the free Yearly Rent of
which amounts to the Sum of £1982 – as appears by the
said Schedule.

*And whereas* it would be convenient and advantageous for
the said *John* Duke of *Atholl,* and the subsequent Heirs
entitled to succeed to, and to take the said Estates which were
Entailed by the said *John,* late Duke of *Atholl,* that the said
Lands and Estates of *Tullibardine,* and others hereinbefore
mentioned
