Whereas John Corlet of Castletown Mariner was at a Court of General
Goal Delivery holden on the 9^th day of October last Arraigned and Condemned
for the Murder of Cathrine Corlet his late Wife and had Sentence of Death
pronounced against him and hath been since Executed agreeable to the said
Sentence. And Whereas their Excellencies the Lord and Lady of this Island out
have (out of their great Bounty and Charity) Signified to me by their Letter bearing
date the 8^th day of February last past that it was Their Will and Pleasure
to Remit unto the Two Children and Orphans of the said Malefactor all such
Penaltys and Forfeitures which their Excellencies were by the Laws of the said

Island unto. I Do therefore in pursuance of their Excellencies Directions
Signified to me by their s^d Letter Release unto the said Two Children & Orphans
of the s^d John Corlett All that their Excellencies Right Interest and Title to all
such Estate, Houses, Sum and Sums of Money, Goods, Chattles, Credits and Effects
which the said John Corlett was in his lifetime, Seiz'd, possess'd of or Entitled unto;
To Hold the said Houses Money and Effects unto the said Two Children for ever
by these presents and for which this shall be their Sufficient power and Warrant. Given
under my hand at Castle Rushen this 13^th day of May 1765
