A Petition of the House of Keys,
whose names are hereunto subscribed,
the Constitutional Representatives of
the People of the Isle of Man, was
presented, and read; setting forth,
That by a Bill now before the House,
intituled, A Bill for regulating the
Customs of the Isle of Man, a
provision is made for enabling the
Right Honourable the Lords of His
Majesty's Treasury to treat and
contract with His Grace the
Duke of Atholl for the absolute
purchase of a certain Annuity,
equivalent to one fourth part of
the gross Revenues of the said Isle;
that the Petitioners, being firmly
convinced that the purchase, and
revestment in the Crown, of all
the rights reserved to that noble
