To His Excellency John Wood Esq^r Governor of this Isle
The humble Petition of Robert Logan now
a prisoner in Castle Rushen

Humbly Showeth

That your Petitioner Stands Confined in the s^d Castle by Order
from your Excellency Dated the 26^th Instant wherein it is
represented unto your Excellency that he with Others
Assembled and Obstructed his Majestys Officers in the
Execution of their Duty and also Guilty of Several
Expressions tending to Treason

Your Petitioner further Saith and Can make to
Appear by the Testimony of ten Witnesses that he never
made use of a Worse Expression then telling them that
the King did not Send them here to Rob People of
their Propertys which your Petitioner Apprehends
is no Treason

Therefore your Pet^r humbly prays your
Excellency would be pleased to release him
from his Confinement upon Giving in Bonds
to Stand Tryal when required And Shall
Ever pray &c
