The Court of General
Gaol Delivery, or as it is
sometimes called in the
Records "The Head Court
was always Fenced in
the Lord of Man's name
(and since the Revestment
in the King's name) and
his Officers (that is his
Council)– viz "That no
manner of person or persons
whatsoever shall make any
disturbance or molest the
audience; but that every
one do answer, and shew
their accord when they are
called by licence of the
Lord of Man and his
Officers– and if any
person after the Court is
fenced misdemean himself
or offer any affront to the
Court he is fined and
