Shimin

At Castletown 28^th Sept^r 1764.

We the Keys of Man now assembled having in Obedience to the Worship^ll
Deputy Govern^rs order of Reference proceeded to hear a certain cause as a [?]
wherein William Ellison is Plaintiff and Matthew Shimin Def^t for
a certain parcel of Abbey farm land of one penny land or thereabouts in
the parish of Kk German, which the Plaintiff alledges the Def^t wrongfully
withholds and detains from him; And having perused all the
Sheading Jury & Traverse Jury's Verdicts passed in this cause & fully
heard the parties with what was otherwise offered thereon; & upon
mature and deliberate Consid^n had thereof, say and are of opinion
that the Plt William Ellison does not appear to be intitled to that
part of the land & premisses in the possession of the Def^t Matthew
Shimin — And therefore we Reverse the Traverse Jury's Verdict, and
leave the Def^t in his possession. And this we give as our opinion
& Judgment on the premisses —
