Whereas there was this Day read at the Board a Report from the
Right Honourable the Lords of the Committee of Council for hearing
Appeals from the plantations &c^a. dated the 10^th of this Instant in the
Words following — viz^t.

" Your Majesty having been pleased by Your Order in
" Council of the 7^th of November 1766 to refer unto this Committee
" the humble petition of John Quillin Esquire Your Majestys Attorney
" General of the Isle of Man, and Samuel Kirkpatrick sometime
" an officer of Your Majestys Customs within the said Island, Setting
" forth, amongst other things, that David Angus prayed and was
" allowed an Appeal to Your Majesty in Council, from an Order or
" Judgment given in the Court of Exchequer in the said Island on
" the 23^rd. of November 1763, in favour of the Petitioners, upon
" an Action filed by them in the said Court against the said David
" Angus, for Condemning one hundred and eighty pounds Weight of
" Tea, which were illegally imported into the said Island; And
" humbly praying, in regard the said David Angus hath neglected
" to prosecute his said Appeal, tho' he had given Security so to do
within
