Second of this Instant, Philip Barnes
who acts as an Officer under his Majesty
in the Port of Peel came with a number
of armed Men and Entered the Houses
of the said Tho^s. Woods and Philip
Cottier, where the said Teas were
deposited as aforesaid, and then
& there did Illegally Seize the
said Teas for the use of his
Majesty – as will be made to appear
at time and place proper.

That your pet^rs made application to the
said Philip Barnes & to Charles Lutwid[ge]

in this Island to have the said
Teas, so illegally [above line: Seized] ~~re~~stowed and
delivered to them, according to
Their respective Rights and Interest
in the said Goods, but could not

said Teas, notwithstanding the
