The humble petition and Appeal of Maurice [?]
McAuliffe formerly of the Kingdom of Irelan[d]
but now of this Isle and prisoner at Castleru[shin?]

Humbly Showeth

That Thomas Murphy Sometime ago instituted a suit
in the Admiralty Court against your Appell^t for the recovery [?]
of a certain Sum of money to be due and owing unto him by y^r [?]
Appell^t upon which an Admiral Jury being Struck & Sworn
to try the Said Issue So depending between your Appell^t and
the Said Thomas Murphy And upon Tryall had thereof
the Said Jury thought proper to verdict in favour of the Said
Murphy as by the Said Jurys Return now Remaining on the
Publick Records of this Isle

That your Hon^rs Said Appell^t for Relief and Justice
in the Premises, Traversd the Said Jurys verdict, or Return, To a
Jury of Twelve Men, who being also Sworn to try the Said Adm^l
Jurys verdict they also by their Return bearing date the 20^th
of October thought proper to Concurr in Oppinion with the
Said Admiral Jurys verdict bearing date as aforesaid may app[ear]

That your hon^rs Said Appell^t for further Relief did [on?]
the 22^d of October Appeal to Hon^ble Staff of Government to try the
verdicts of the aforesaid Jurys, and on hearing thereof before
your hon^r on Fryday the 7^th of this Inst^t December, your ho[nour]
was pleased to affirm the ~~verdicts of~~ Said Jurys verdicts by your
Hon^rs Decree of same Date Doth Appear

That your hon^rs Appell^t Still conceives himself high[ly]
Injured and agrievd by the verdicts of Said Jurys, and
by your hon^rs Decree Confirming the Same Therefore
for Relief in all and Singular the Premises
